Be apart of something
amazing. 300 yachts with both professional and amateur
crews, the highly skilled and the novice. Its open to all. Sailors
arrive from all over the world to take part so 'go on' be part of
something a bit special
With novices welcome
good sense dictates that all participants have 300 miles of
offshore passages behind them. Hence we give you three RORC
Channel races and a training weekend in the Solent as part of the
package.
This is
the race to put
in your sailing CV. You get respect from the whole yachting
community for doing this one.
The Fastnet Race
starts on Sunday the 9th August 2009 from a starting line off
Cowes then west out of the Solent to the Southern tip of Ireland
and the Fastnet Rock. The race will take approximately 3-5 days
subject to conditions passing between the Silly Isles and Cornwall
outbound and south of the Scilly's east bound. The finish is the
breakwater at Plymouth. Past that is QAB marina, party tents and a
chance to celebrate your achievement. Oh! And we will party......
we are good at that..
