There
is very little that beats TEAM BUILDING on the water onboard
a yacht.
With your staff away from
the comfort and familiar surroundings of the work place they will
find themselves in a challenging and unique environment where the
need for planning, co-operation and above all, TEAMWORK will
be imperative for success.
Take a performance offshore yacht and a raw crew. Show them the
ropes, the basics and watch and them develop new skills whilst
manoeuvring in the
company of other yachts. It gets the hearts racing and the brain
working, concentration dedicated to the task in hand. Often the
least likely shine, showing their true potential to meet challenges.
The team pulls together as good communication skills develop. By the
end of the day all onboard understand each other better and
preconceived perceptions of individuals limitations are eroded as
they surprise themselves and those around them ,
All become active and
essential to success.
We recommend that at least
two identical yachts are used for these events, with up to eight
people inc our skipper on each yacht. Each person will have a role
to full fill, no room for passengers. Our qualified skippers
will help and advise, but your staff/team
will sail the boats themselves. The training will include sailing
the yachts in race conditions. We also set other tasks designed to
encourage teams to develop and bond.
