TOUR DES PORTS MANCHE
7th to 14th of July Cowes to Cowes
Oh my days what an event. Amazed only 6 British yachts took part. Keep
Cowes Week, keep RORC and JOG racing this is brilliant.
Firstly your hosts. The French! Amazing hospitality, friendly, helpful and
they absolutely loved us. Don't think they have ever seen a party boat
race before.
Free Oysters, free food every day, free wine, beer, free berthing, live music.....amazing. RORC watch learn.
Firstly we sail to France.
More details later but ideally we get there 24-36 hours before the start which will be
at St Vaast.
The Races
Each race is only about 25-35 Nm. No more than 5-6 hours max on the water.
We race from port to port, two starts and 8 - 10 classes with plenty of 40 footers
including Reflex 38s , Arcona's, X Yachts, Pogos First 40.7's, big 47.7s and some lumbering
45ft cruisers. About 80-100 yachts take part each year.
End of racing full facilities ashore are available, lots of shops and bars plus of course the
hosts hospitality. Why eat out when the Oysters are free.
Finish:
The finish will be Granville. Award ceremony. We won the raffle plus the most glamours yacht and crew which is a 3 day charter holiday on a hot rod catamaran a TS 5 (which unfortunately capsized racing across the Atlantic). No free charter.
The Next day we blast back to Cowes not too early. Back by Sunday Morning.
.
Race starts in.....

EXPERIANCE REQUIRED

No experience is required as a good proportion of the crew will have the necessary skill levels to allow us to complete a safe passage.
However you do need to be physically fit. We don't mean like a pro or even a weekend jogger.
Just a good standard of well being.
Sailing requires physical effort so you got to be able to move around, pull on r
opes (we don't call them ropes).
In return for your given experience level we will do our best to expand that for you.
We don't treat our crew as rail meat.
Even if you only sign up for one race you have joined the Anarchy Family.
WE ARE A TEAM FIREBALL
HOW TO SIGN UP
Well as you are reading this you must have a Computer, Tablet or a Smartphone or
some magical device we are oblivious too.
So given your a tech wizard try one of these:
EMAIL: skipper@anarchysailing.co.uk
PHONE: +44(0)77870403888
We genuinely discourage the use of Semaphore (waving flags around), morse code by
lamp or telegraph, Smoke Signals, Chinese Whispers or "my mates ask me to ask you"
Or use our carefully grafted form below and we will get back to you.
Please Note
By the nature of our sport we are often on the water and don't man a full time office.
Once about 5-10 miles offshore telephone signal is at best poor.
We therefore can't always provide an immediate response but we do promise to get
back to you.
