ANARCHY SAILING & THE FASTNET
This will be our 7th Rolex Fastnet Race. Its addictive,
probably why nearly every time
it comes around we do it,
Not for the faint hearted especially if you look back at the 2021 & 23 editions.
This is the Everest of Sailing and an absolute badge of honour to have done it.
We first did it in 2005 and we love it.
The race now ends in Cherbourg and although you can get a ferry home if you can't hang around to party, Who doesn't want to party.
We then sail back to Cowes in a more relaxed mode.
We will take novices but hopefully you will have at least some previous offshore experience. We already have 3 old customers returning from previous campaigns so we have some good experience onboard, Now we just need you.
CERVANTES RACE Mayday Bank Holiday Weekend. Cowes to Le Havre
MYTH OF MALHAM End of May Bank Holiday. Cowes to Eddystone Lighthouse and back
ST MALO RACE. Usually the end of June/early July. Cowes to St Malo
NOTE RORC STILL TO CONFIRM DATES FOR THE QUALIFYING RACES
This will give you more than the 300Nm of offshore racing each crew member needs to qualify.
You will also need to complete a RYA/ISAF Sea Survival course and a First Aid at Sea course.

WHAT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED?
This race is not for the faint-hearted.
It's a serious challenge and IT should be respected accordingly.
You need to be a committed team player. Be passionate about sailing/ yacht racing, adaptable and resilient to tough conditions
Ideally, you will have past yacht racing experience but this is not absolutely necessary, also, a certain level of strength and fitness is required as this race is always both physically and mentally demanding.
Be aware that first and foremost you have got to have fun otherwise what's the point.
However we still want to be the best we can be. In 2019 with 9 stock First 40.7s we were the first to finish by a country mile. Another 40.7 did beat us... just but it has had a £120k of modifications including a designer keel, massive weight losses and a pro crew.
Well as you are reading this you must have a Computer, Tablet or a Smartphone or some magical device we are oblivious too.
So given you are a tech wizard, try one of these:
