ANARCHY SAILING & THE FASTNET
This will be our 6th Rolex Fastnet Race. Its addictive, probably why every time
we do it , we get customers who come back for another go around that curious
isolated rock off the Southern Irish coast.
New finish line and not everyone is happy about it. The race now ends in Cherbourg not Plymouth. A massive break with tradition and one that still causes heated conversations in the pubs and yacht clubs all around the country.
To be fair we weren't best pleased but it is what it is and lets face it! A whole new challenge.
COVID 19 Guarantee
We are fully aware of concerns regarding Covid 19. What if there is a second wave next year? What if we go into lockdown again? What if I'm told to self isolate?
You get your money back. Simple! We have thought this trough and have included at the bottom of the page our full COVID 19 Terms and conditions.
Ok! So those of you who have never done the Fastnet before! This is the Daddy of offshore yacht racing. We still remember when you we were not considered proper yachtsman, unless you had done the Fastnet. Kudos and bragging rights still exist. That sense of achievement when you cross the line followed by a resounding promise never to do it again, only followed two hours later in the beer tent with you & everybody else talking about the next one.
We do take this one seriously and we managed to beat all but 1 of the 10 x 40.7s that took part and that particular yacht has had £120k worth of modifications. (All most a different boat)
We also beat most of the charter fleet yachts including. Globals - EHO1, Quokka 8 & Jua Kali, Sailing Logics - Arthur Logic, Merlin, Rocket Dog & Winston Logic. We were awesome. A better start (my fault) and some better light wind training for my off watch (also my fault) & we could have seriously impressed.
We will need to complete 300Nm of offshore racing as a TEAM to qualify. This we achieve by participating in 3 RORC races. All part of our price package. We also provide 2 training weekends. One in April the other closer to the start.
You will also need to complete a RYA/ISAF Sea Survival course and a First Aid at Sea course. These are not included as it allows you more flexibility in where you take them and some of you may already have a valid certificate. Each course is approximately £200. We can arrange these for you.
We will provide you with one of our famous Team Shirts & a Gillet although we are talking to Sail Racing regarding their amazing jackets.
Not cheap but if we can get enough discount we will offer those at an additional cost.
Having worn one across the Biscay I was seriously impressed. You will want one.

EXPERIANCE REQUIRED
Absolutely none.
We are a TEAM so we guide and help each other through each race. Some of the crew will be more capable and experienced than others. You learn as you go. We will include two training weekends. Once we all get use to each other, our strengths and weaknesses, how we respond to fatigue and sleep deprivation, how many sugars you take in your tea.
All the little things that are 'as important' as your skill development. We will learn to communicate, work together, look out for each other, laugh together, get cold and wet together, soak up the sunshine together.
We have had absolute novices who have shinned. Experienced guys who have started out left wanting. By being a TEAM we can be amazing and on the 2019 Fastnet we were exactly that. Never been as proud of a crew as that lot. They set the bar.
We challenge you to better them.
HOW TO BOOK
Well as you are reading this you must have a Computer, Tablet or a Smartphone or some magical device we are oblivious too.
So given your a tech wizard try one of these:
EMAIL:
PHONE: +44(0)77870403888
We genuinely discourage the use of Semaphore (waving flags around), morse code by lamp or telegraph, Smoke Signals, Chinese Whispers or "my mates ask me to ask you"
Or use our carefully crafted form below and we will get back to you.
Please Note
By the nature of our business we are often on the water and don't man a full time office. Once about 5-10 miles offshore telephone signal is at best poor.
We therefore can't always provide an immediate response but we do promise to get back to you. We want your custom.
COVID 19 GUARANTEE
Covid 19.
We all have our own levels of concern not least financially committing to holidays, events or in this case the Fastnet Race.
The best way around this for us is to offer a Covid Refund.
Firstly we will take only a deposit from now to Jan 1st 2021 of £500. This secures your place onboard Fireball for the 2021 Fastnet Race.
Thereafter we will take monthly stage payments on the 1st of Jan of £1000, 1st of Feb £1000, 1st of March the balance of £685.
Should a second wave happen that disrupts the training or earlier qualifying races we will reschedule.
However should Covid 19 mean that the Fastnet Race is cancelled we will refund in full less the cost of the qualifying races we participate in. Priced at £245 each and training at £200 each.
Example.
You pay £3,185 for the full campaign
We complete
1 x Training Weekend
1 x Qualifying Race
Fastnet is cancelled we refund £2,740
You only pay for the sailing you have done.
Conditions
Just to make it fair. Cancelation by the RORC because of Covid 19 or any other reason for them to cancel equals refund.
If you have been told to self isolate we will want to see official written proof. Equals refund
If you have been diagnosed with Covid 19 and are not well or still contagious please provide proof. Equals refund.
If you are a non UK resident and official travel restrictions are in place equals refund.
If your home town or city has official travel restrictions or goes into lockdown equals full refund.
We would advise you seek travel insurance anyway just as we would during normal circumstances. However please stay safe and we hope you remain well. Next years Fastnet is the start of a new era for the race. iIt would be awesome to say you were one of the first to do it.

TEAM ANARCHY 2021 FASTNET
JOSH ELLIS

Anarchy Sailing is about fun first.
That said we love to race and we love to beat our rivals.
Each year we invest more into our yachts.
Sails, sail configuration to optimise performance against rating.
Smoother hull, new electronics and all kit replace when needed including halyards, sheets etc.
We will always present the yacht in the best possible condition so there are no excuses on the water.
Ultimately we are a TEAM and regardless of your previous experience you will become a key member of the TEAM.
Remember Life's a riot
