.Anarchy Sailing invites you to join us for a blast down the Portuguese Coast

& the Iberian Peninsular to Gibraltar.

The Starting point:

The event sets off in September planned for the 27th.

You will need to be flexible as we will have one eye on the weather to ensure

a safe passage.

Last year we holed up in Vigo for 2 days with stops at Cascais & Vilamoura just for the hell of it.

We will eventually be heading for Malta this year and the Middle Sea Race unless Covid 19 continues to be a persistent pain in the  backside.

We can make as many stops as we like. We know which ones to avoid and those to embrace. A particular favourite was Baiona  just south of Vigo. Cascais is so friendly a stop there is always appealing. We can even try new ports for a run ashore. Although avoiding Finistere, Porto and Peniche will be a must. Just grubby places with little charm although the back streets of Porto are appealing.

 

End Point:

The Gibraltar Raid ends in Ocean Village Marina a short walk from the Airport. Facilities there are great. The only marina we have been to that has a plush free standing bath in an enclosed private suite. Even the laundry facilities are second to none.

Dolphins everywhere on the way down. Never seen so many. A new pod every 4 hours. Play a bit of Jamiroquai on the Fusion and Dolphins just appear, don't get the same response with AC DC

We will also sail through or close to the exact co ordinates for the Battle of Trafalgar where we pay a little tribute to all the sailors who gave their lives regardless of nation.
