Anarchy Sailing invites you to join us for the RORC mini Fastnet.
Well we head west and go around a lighthouse.
Another favourite although Portland Bill seems to sit there for hours.
either in front or behind you.
The Start:
The race start is from the Squadron Line off Cowes on the Isle of Wight. We head west past Portland Bill & Start Point before rounding the Eddystone Lighthouse to port and heading home.
Crews are required to be at the yacht no later than 2 hours before the start.
You are welcome to arrive the night before at no additional cost. Accommodation onboard.
Full details of times & joining instructions will be forwarded to you on completion of
your booking or you can sneak a peak on the www.RORC.org website.
RORC can on rare occasions make amendments and we would spend our days changing the website. Rather be sailing.
Finish:
The Race finish is back in the Solent although it will change subject to conditions. More often than not the finish is near Hurst Castle although sometimes its been at the other end of the Solent at Gilkicker Point.
Hopefully we will be back in time for a debrief in a cafe or a suitable watering hole. Anchor/Pier View

EXPERIANCE REQUIRED
No experience is required as a good proportion of the crew will have the necessary skill levels to allow us to complete a safe passage.
However you do need to be physically fit. We don't mean like a pro or even a weekend jogger. Just a good standard of well being.
Sailing requires physical effort so you got to be able to move around, pull on ropes (we don't call them ropes).
In return for your given experience level we will do our best to expand that for you.
We don't treat our crew as rail meat.
Even if you only sign up for one race you have joined the Anarchy Family. WE ARE A TEAM

By the nature of our business we are often on the water and don't man a full time office. Once about 5-10 miles offshore telephone signal is at best poor.
We therefore can't always provide an immediate response but we do promise to get back to you. We want your custom.

That said we love to race and we love to beat our rivals.
Each year we invest more into our yachts.
Sails, sail configuration to optimise performance against rating.
Smoother hull, new electronics and all kit replace when needed including halyards, sheets etc.
We will always present the yacht in the best possible condition so there are no excuses on the water.
Ultimately we are a TEAM and regardless of your previous experience you will become a key member of the TEAM.
