Anarchy Sailing invites you to join us for the this years Round Ireland Race

Originally this event was to be held in June but that nasty Covid 19 has

forced the event back to 22nd August.

If you are like us and the lockdown has driven you stir crazy?

Then how aboutcircumnavigating the Emerald Isle to blow away those cobwebs.

Training:

We will offer a training weekend although the date is yet to be confirmed due to Covid 19. Watch this space.

Qualifying Passage:

First we need to qualify. This we can achieved by sailing from Cowes to the start in Wicklow. We also need you to hold a RYA/ISAF Sea survival certificate.

The Sail out will take us 3/4 days we will allow 5 so we get some boat preparation & shore time before the race start.

The Race:

The yachts head south in a clockwise direction. Past the Fastnet Rock and around the stunning West Coast of Ireland. Up over the top and back between Northern Ireland and Scotlands Mull of Kintyre (give Paul McCartney a wave).

You might get a glimpse of the Isle of Man not to mention Dolphins, Whales and Leatherback Turtles. You will get bored of Dolphins.

Seriously, someone will shout Dolphins and you won't move.

The Finish:

Once we cross the finish line in Wicklow we will enjoy the crac and good Irish hospitality. A chance to swing the lamp and use those bragging rights.

Return to Cowes:

We will get some needed rest and after 36 hours ashore we will head home. This leg is optional as some of you will need to get back to work. We just need advanced warning so we can make sure we have enough crew for the passage home.

EXPERIANCE REQUIRED

No experience is required as a good proportion of the crew will have the necessary skill levels to allow us to complete a safe passage.

However you do need to be physically fit. We don't mean like a pro or even a weekend jogger. Just a good standard of well being.

Sailing requires physical effort so you got to be able to move around, pull on ropes (we don't call them ropes).

In return for your given experience level we will do our best to expand that for you.

We don't treat our crew as rail meat.

Even if you only sign up for one race you have joined the Anarchy Family. WE ARE A TEAM

HOW TO BOOK

Anarchy Sailing is about fun first.

That said we love to race and we love to beat our rivals.

Each year we invest more into our yachts.

Sails, sail configuration to optimise performance against rating.

Smoother hull, new electronics and all kit replace when needed including halyards, sheets etc.

We will always present the yacht in the best possible condition so there are no excuses on the water.

Ultimately we are a TEAM and regardless of your previous experience you will become a key member of the TEAM.
