FIREBALL & THE C600 

 

As seasoned veterans of RORC Racing we love this event. Its the Fastnet in

shorts and T Shirts.  4 days negotiating a 600 nm course around various

Caribbean Islands starting from and finishing off English Harbour in Antigua.

 

Like the Fastnet this is a bucket list offshore sailing event you need on your

sailing CV and its not the pleasure cruise you might think. Oh its fun, with the

possibility of strong winds at the back of St Barths to searching for the slightest

puff at the bottom of Guadeloupe. Throw in a pod of Humpback Whales north

of Antigua as darkness falls and your left with one amazing experience.

During the race its close quarters accommodation on board. Hot bunking in

two watches​. Keep kit to a minimum to keep the weight off. 

You will need to find shoreside accommodation during the training days and when we finish the race.

Like all of our racing events we are a TEAM. No room for passengers. We want you fully involved from trimming to sail changes and 

to feel the helm and learn the difference between helming and race helming. We share the chores, we cook, we wash up, we joke and we look after each other, physically and emotionally but we most of all we have fun.
