Anarchy Sailing invites you to join us for the ever popular
Round the Island Race
One of the biggest fleets of yachts any where in the world. As many as
1800 yachts of all shapes & sizes pitting their wits against their rivals and the
tricky tides around the stunning Isle of Wight.
Friday is training day. Late start but we will get on the water and teach you what does what and hopefully slick enough to throw a spinnaker blindfolded. Ok just up with two eyes open.. oh and of course down again.
Saturday is race day. So easy on the beer Friday night as it will be an early start. We head west to the Needles, typically a beat, then around the Needles and a kite hoist. Can sometimes hold the kite all the way to Bembridge where we will find the tide against us and a beat to the finish.
Now you can start necking the beer.
You are welcome to stay on the boat and get up when you want on Sunday.
Cant remember how many times we have done this race. Still love it.

EXPERIANCE REQUIRED
No experience is required as a good proportion of the crew will have the necessary skill levels to allow us to complete a safe passage.
However you do need to be physically fit. We don't mean like a pro or even a weekend jogger. Just a good standard of well being.
Sailing requires physical effort so you got to be able to move around, pull on ropes
(we don't call them ropes).
In return for your given experience level we will do our best to expand that for you.
We don't treat our crew as rail meat.
