ANARCHY SAILING YACHT CHARTERS FIREBALL YACHT RACING

FIREBALL RACING CAMPAIGN FOR THE
2027 FASTNET
2 YEAR PROGRAMME

PROPOSAL
Concept
Rather than just grab a crew, do 3 qualifiers and a training weekend. We want to load on more racing experience. Working together, understanding the yacht, home on skills, including learning to race helm, good efficient kite work. Sail trim and understanding every role so you and the TEAM can identify problems before they happen. BECOME AWESOME. Not just passengers
New Sails
In 2019 we were the fastest of 9 stock 40.7s by a country mile. We want to hold that honour again. We have got to buy new sails and we want the best again, North 3Di. We keep the same sail plan as it optimises our rating. Plus other new gear and upgrades.
Atitude
Since 2019 we have been less focused, partially due to our aging sails and in part to crew strength. We will race with two experienced race helms.
However we need 4 x good racing helm, a crew that are reactive, (training & building race experience). Reduce weight, go light on kit, sharp on tactics and weather routing. Plus more TEAM feedback.
2026
Start an early season opener in March, then an offshore race May Bank Holiday to Alderney A mid May training weekend and we have got the basis to build a competitive TEAM. Instead of RORC racing we will enter the JOG series. Shorter courses to fit into the weekends, with a couple of exceptions. The Taittinger Regatta, the first weekend of Cowes Week. 1 x RORC race to Cherbourg to finish off the season.
2027 Fastnet Year
Start with a May training weekend then start racing. 3 RORC offshore Races. Round the Island Race
A pre Fastnet training weekend and then Fastnet Race
Pricing
Our nearest and cheapest competitor on an identical yacht would charge over £9.600 for all the above and for the Fastnet alone £4.850
Our Cost £5,725 essentially loads more sailing for almost £4,000 less than our closet competitor. Note (they may negotiate discounts but its not advertised)
Plus other events discounted by 50% to encourage you to race more, learn more, develop your skills and just become awesome.
Not for profit. Income funds the race campaign, boat maintenance and anything that can make us go faster.
