BRINKMANSHIP
Based on Fireball, our First 40.7

FASTNET
Package
FASTNET CAMPAIGN
Every Fastnet Campaign is pretty much the same with whomever you choose to sail with.
3 qualifying races and 1 or 2 training weekends. It works, but it doesn't produce a strong TEAM.
Now we are lucky in so much that every Fastnet we have done, we welcome back previous crew from either the last event of previous campaigns. We must be doing something right.
However, we would like to encourage our guests to participate in additional events before the actual Fastnet Race. Therefore, all those who sign up would be eligible for 50% off all other events, subject to availability. This includes the Taittenger Regatta and the Round Island Race.
INVESTMENT
As always, most of our sailing income goes back into the yacht. So for this campaign we will be purchasing brand new North 3Di sails. New Main and Headsail.
If we can make Fireball go faster, we will invest in the kit required to achieve that little extra speed.
The last two seasons we have replaced 95% of all electronics. From our VHF Radios, MFD Chartplotter, all instruments up top, including the addition of a large Alpha mast display. (Imagine a large iPad Pro).
We have new Dyneema sheets and halyards; new clutches where required, together with new safety equipment.
All standing rigging is due to be replaced for no other reason than we want to. This will include a performance Dyneema backstay.
NEW SAILS
For the start of 2027 we will have a new North 3Di Mainsail and 3Di Genoa to complement our existing sail wardrobe, which includes a North Helix Code Zero that I can only describe as an absolute weapon.
